Instructor Profile :

Darren started karate in June of 2004. He became interested as his daughters, Catherine and Victoria were training with sensei Adam Kinsella. Darren said “why sit and watch, when I could be taking part”. He trained with Adam until he left for Oz in February 2008.

Darren continued training in Cornelly with Darryl Thomas.
In January 2009 he started to train at the Pencoed club under
Steve Law, it was whilst training there that he gained his 1st Dan. Darren has held a coaching award for three years.

Over the years that Darren has trained he has competed at the WKU championships. Darren has trained with Sensei’s Dave Hazard, Gabe Opperanta, Steven Wellington just to name a few of the countries top instructors.
