Instructors from some of the Welsh Karate Unions clubs and the newly formed Welsh Karate Collective came together for some to revalidate and others to newly qualify through Welsh Karate Governing Bodies coaching award for karate, the only coaching award recognised by the Sports Council for Wales for karate.

A long and hot day was endured by all with everyone excelling in their ability to deliver karate to a class. With two of the instructors now ready and opening clubs in Maesteg and Porthcawl in September.

Chief Instructor sensei Paul Watson said, "This course makes the Welsh Karate Unions qualified instructors count up to 26, everyone really deserved to qualify and a big thank you to both the Assessors for their delivery of the course to very high standard".
